The continuity of right-wing terror from Kassel, Wächtersbach to Hanau, as well as the success of the AfD in the 2023 state elections, show that the extreme right in Hesse has gained strength. With the conference, we are offering a place to take stock of the situation in workshops, panels and keynotes and to talk about the ideologies of the extreme right and counter-strategies. In addition to this academic perspective, actors from civil society will also present their projects and thus provide an insight into current debates. In workshops in Hesse, we will also look at developments on the far right at a national and European level and their overlaps with the so-called bourgeois center.
